27 - Add Network Blocks

  1. Login to IZ Alma
  2. Click on the gear in the lower left (Configuration)
  3. Click on FULFILLMENT
  4. Under PATRON CONFIGURATIONS, click USER BLOCK DESCRIPTION
  5. Click ADD ROW in the upper right and complete the fields as shown below (case sensitive… enter exactly as you see):
    1. Code: CONSORTIA
    2. Description: Consortial block
    3. Default Value: No
    4. Click the ADD ROW button
  6. Click ADD ROW in the upper right and complete the fields as shown below (case sensitive… enter exactly as you see):
    1. Code: FROM_TARGET
    2. Description: Block from the target institution for linked accounts
    3. Default Value: No
    4. Click the ADD ROW button
  7. Click SAVE in the upper right
  8. An example of the Consortia Block being enabled as per the text.
  9. Now click FULFILLMENT
  10. Under PATRON CONFIGURATIONS, click USER BLOCK DEFINITIONS
  11. Click ADD ROW in the upper right and complete the fields as shown below (case sensitive… enter exactly as you see):
    1. ID: AFNBLOCK
    2. Type: select Consortial block
    3. Description: select Consortial block
    4. Overrideable: select ALL
    5. Blocked Action: select 05 (includes loan, renew, hold, and ILL request)
    6. Network Block: False
    7. Click the ADD ROW button
  12. Click ADD ROW in the upper right and complete the fields as shown below (case sensitive… enter exactly as you see):
    1. ID: FROM_TARGET
    2. Type: select Consortial block
    3. Description: select Block from the target institution for linked accounts
    4. Overrideable: select ALL
    5. Blocked Action: select 05 (includes loan, renew, hold, and ILL request)
    6. Network Block: True
    7. Click the ADD ROW button
  13. Click SAVE in the upper right
